- Should I use hyphens or underscores to separate words?
- You should definitely use hyphens. Google and other search engines treat hyphens as natural word separators, so 'diwali-marketing-ideas' is cleanly understood as three distinct words. Underscores can sometimes cause words to get mashed into a single unreadable token.
- How long is too long for a URL slug?
- A sweet spot is around three to six meaningful words. It's often best practice to drop short filler words (like 'a', 'the', 'and', 'for') and focus solely on the core keywords that someone would actually type into a search engine.
- What happens if my title includes Hindi characters or special symbols?
